Coaching

Become Who God is Calling You to Be

You care about your faith, your family, your work, and the way you lead your life.
But growth doesn’t happen by accident.

Coaching creates space to step back, gain clarity, and move forward with greater purpose and intention.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a focused, one-on-one partnership designed to help you grow into the man God is calling you to be.

It’s a space to:

  • Think clearly
  • Reflect deeply
  • Align your life with what matters most
  • Take intentional next steps

Coaching isn’t about fixing what’s broken.  It’s about building what matters most.

What You Can Expect

Through coaching, we help you:

Clarify Your Direction

Define what matters most in this season.  Gain perspective on where God may be leading you.

Align Your Life

Bring your faith, priorities, and daily decisions into alignment. Live with greater consistency between what you believe and how you live.

Grow With Intention

Take meaningful steps forward. Build rhythms that support long-term growth. Lead your life with purpose and confidence

The goal isn’t more activity—it’s a more intentional life.

What Makes This Different

Most coaching focuses on achievement.

We focus on alignment and formation.

  • Not just success → purpose
  • Not just productivity → fruitfulness
  • Not just discipline → dependence on God

We believe:

A good life is shaped by staying connected to Christ and intentionally investing in what matters most.

FAQ

I work with high achieving business owners, c-suite executives, non profit leaders, emerging leaders,  aspiring coaches, and others to help them live more intentionally.

Absolutely. Honesty and vulnerability are prerequisites of change. What you share with me is confidential and anything delivered digitally remains protected for access by you and me alone.  Only my wife knows who I coach.  I don’t share client names, much less details, with anyone.  If I see you out in a social setting and someone asks how we know each other, I simply reply that we are friends.

Coaching calls are delivered via phone (and Zoom if requested).  You call me.

The standard coaching experience runs for one year and begins with a two hour introduction call. Thereafter, coaching calls are generally once every two weeks for 45 minutes. You also will need to set aside some time for the development of a Life Plan. Over the course of your coaching, you should expect investment of time in following up on the action steps and activities that surface in our conversations.

The Center - San Antonio is able to operate by relying on donations from generous people and organizations. Our coaching, discipleship, and life planning services are offered without charge because we believe finances should never be a barrier to pursuing God's calling.

Comparable coaching and life-planning services often range from $200–$500 per session or $500–$1,500 per month. Through the generosity of ministry partners, we are able to provide these services regardless of a person's ability to pay.

I coach on Thursdays only. I only work with people who are a great fit and only take on a handful of clients.

Bill Gates has said “Everyone needs a coach. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a basketball player, a tennis player, a gymnast, or a bridge player. We all need people who will give us feedback. That’s how we improve.”

But I have found that not many people are ready and willing to do the hard work that it takes to change. Everyone wants a different outcome, but not many are ready and willing to do the work.

Changing behavior is really hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. Are you ready and willing?

Coaching may reflect aspects of each of these roles, but it is not defined by them. Coaching is more comprehensive. My primary role is not to impart wisdom, advice, or be your cheerleader. It’s to draw out of you the vision that God is laying on your heart, help you see and hear God’s voice with respect to growth, and challenge you to put into practice what you’re hearing. It is also to hold you accountable to the action steps you believe God is calling you to take.

There will be times of celebration, mourning, challenging pushback and probing for clarity. All with the intent that you grow as a disciple.

Absolutely.  Just know that my faith is foundational to who I am and how I coach.  I do not impose my beliefs on anyone and will respect yours.

I am a certified Blackaby Ministries Spiritual Leadership Coach and have been actively coached since 2020 and have been coaching others since 2021.

Life coaching success is built around Holy Spirit sensitivity, prayerful communication, and intentional, thoughtful action. While there are ‘certified life coaches’, skills and approach are not universally defined.

What qualifies my leadership however, is that my deepest desires are to help others live intentionally.  This is my God-given calling in life and something that absorbs my mind and heart daily.  And I know from scripture and first-hand experience that God equips the called.
